Miura-cho Catholic Church

Sasebo, Japan

Built in 1931, this gothic-style Catholic church sits high above the busy street below. There is a long staircase linking it to 35 or you can drive right up to the back door. Parking is very limited. You can attend an English Mass every Sunday at 1 pm or just stop by for a visit.

Go. See. Explore!

Finding your way around a new city (or country!) can be challenging but so rewarding when you finally find that cat cafe you've been searching for. Here are a few tips for navigating with GPS.

Tips for Using GPS

  1. Set your GPS before you leave.
  2. Make sure you also set your return destination.
  3. If you're using your smartphone, mount it at eye-level so you aren't looking away from the road.
  4. Expect hiccups. Siri gets confused sometimes, just like us.
  5. Try not to get discouraged if you make a wrong turn or miss your exit. Detours are opportunities to discover new things!
