Starbucks Dazaifu

Dazaifu, Japan

Nestled in the outskirts of Fukuoka, this Starbucks is unlike any other you've visited. It is wrapped in a diagonally woven cedar wood lattice that continues throughout the store. It was designed by Japanese architect Kengo Kuma and has become a popular tourist attraction. Go early or expect to wait in line!

Go. See. Explore!

Finding your way around a new city (or country!) can be challenging but so rewarding when you finally find that cat cafe you've been searching for. Here are a few tips for navigating with GPS.

Tips for Using GPS

  1. Set your GPS before you leave.
  2. Make sure you also set your return destination.
  3. If you're using your smartphone, mount it at eye-level so you aren't looking away from the road.
  4. Expect hiccups. Siri gets confused sometimes, just like us.
  5. Try not to get discouraged if you make a wrong turn or miss your exit. Detours are opportunities to discover new things!
